MU President Inspects Examination Committees at the Faculties of Arts and FCI, Reaffirms Full Support for Students with Disabilities

As part of Minia University’s ongoing commitment to monitoring the conduct of the first-semester examinations for the 2025/2026 academic year, and in pursuit of fairness and equal opportunities for all students, Professor Essam Farhat, President of Minia University, carried out an inspection visit to the examination committees at the Faculties of Arts, Computers and Information, and Education. The visit aimed to ensure the smooth progress of examinations and the provision of a secure, orderly, and well-regulated examination environment.

The University President commenced his tour by inspecting examination committees designated for integrated students and special cases at the Faculty of Arts, in order to ensure that all necessary logistical and technical support was in place in accordance with the requirements of students with disabilities. This reflects the University’s firm commitment to delivering an inclusive and equitable examination environment that upholds the principle of equal opportunity.

Professor Farhat was accompanied during the visit by Professor Mostafa Mahmoud, Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Ibrahim Hassan Abu El-Kheir, Dean of the Faculty of Arts; Professor Essam Halim, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information; Professor Idris Sultan Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Education; as well as the vice deans of the respective faculties.

During the tour, the President of Minia University reviewed the regularity of examination procedures and students’ adherence to the established regulations, including the prohibition of mobile phones and any communication or social media devices within examination halls. He also emphasized the importance of the continuous presence of examination committee chairs and the regular attendance of invigilators across all faculties.

Professor Essam Farhat further engaged in cordial discussions with students while inspecting the committees, in order to assess the level of the examinations and the appropriateness of the questions. He directed that any observations or complaints be addressed promptly, stressing the necessity of the presence of course lecturers within examination committees to respond to students’ enquiries and to deal with any emergency situations that may arise. He reiterated the University’s commitment, since the commencement of the examination period, to providing all possible forms of comfort and support to students with disabilities and their families, thereby ensuring a comprehensive, fair, and inclusive examination environment that takes into account the needs of all students.

In the same context, Professor Mostafa Mahmoud affirmed the University administration’s keenness to provide all forms of support and facilitation for students, enabling them to sit their examinations in a suitable and accommodating environment. He also highlighted the allocation of dedicated examination committees for students with disabilities, in addition to the provision of appropriate assistance within examination halls, in a manner that guarantees fairness and equal opportunities for all students.
