Minia National University orchestrated a field trip for a delegation of 50 high-achieving male and female students from the first and second years of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence program. The excursion included visits to the City of Knowledge, the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI), and the Information Technology Institute (ITI) in the New Administrative Capital. The primary aim was to expose students to the modern resources possessed by these institutions, such as advanced labs and equipment used to train students and graduates on the latest technologies in the fields of communications and information technology. This exposure enhances their readiness for integration into both local and international job markets.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat, President of Minia University and Acting President of Minia Private University, and the supervision of Dr. Abdel Mageed Amin, Director of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence program at the university, the visit encompassed a comprehensive orientation tour within the National Telecommunications Institute. During this session, experts highlighted the institute's inception and its role in supporting the telecommunications sector in Egypt. The training initiatives offered in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications, which merge theoretical and practical education, were also showcased.

Moreover, the students visited several advanced labs, including the Mobile Generation Lab, a pioneering facility featuring components of mobile networks from 2G to 5G, and the Cloud Computing Lab to explore the latest cloud computing technologies. They also explored other simulation labs that contribute to enhancing the educational experience for students.

Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat emphasized that this visit aligns with the university's commitment to developing practical skills among students and enhancing the proficiency of specialized student cadres in the fields of computing and artificial intelligence. This preparation equips them to enter the future job market and supports their direction towards entrepreneurship and freelancing. Prof. Farhat highlighted the importance of strengthening collaborative frameworks between the university and national institutions that support graduate qualification, commending the efforts of the accompanying team from the City of Knowledge, led by Engineer Heba Farouk, Director of the Information Technology branch in the New Administrative Capital.

The field trip also included visits to prominent landmarks in the New Administrative Capital, serving as a model for modern smart cities. The students visited the Green River, the Iconic Tower, the Fatih Al-Aleem Mosque, the Cathedral of Christ's Nativity, the Arts and Culture City, the Government District, the Central Park, People's Square, and the Central Business District.

Accompanying and overseeing the organization of the university delegation were several faculty members and academic supervisors, including Mr. Walid Abdelkawy, General Director of Student Affairs, Mr. Mohsen Sayed, Director of Student Unions, and Dr. Bilal Ahmed Mohamed, Assistant Professor of Computer Science. They emphasized the significance of such field trips in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical realities and expanding students' horizons towards their professional futures.
