Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat, the President of the University of Minia, inaugurated the second alumni forum for the graduates of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology under the theme "Graduate Ready for Tomorrow". The event aimed to enhance the exchange of experiences and provide an opportunity for innovators to establish their own companies and connect with employers.
The forum witnessed the presence of several employers, representatives from leading information technology companies, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), and the Digital Innovation Center "Creativia" in Minia, along with vice-deans, academic members, graduates, and students from various academic years.
Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat emphasized that the career fair provides real support to our students and graduates in developing their skills towards a distinguished professional future, fostering an environment conducive to creativity and entrepreneurship in the field of information technology. He highlighted the forum's role in assisting innovators to establish their own companies and helping them find suitable job opportunities.
Prof. Farhat praised the significant role played by the management of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology in enhancing the faculty and its quality programs that meet the requirements of the job market, as well as engaging with graduates to raise their vocational awareness, enabling companies to access qualified personnel to meet their needs locally and internationally.
During the event, the university president visited the graduation projects exhibition for the 2024/2025 batch, where students showcased their innovations and scientific and practical outputs, reflecting their academic and applied qualifications. The projects included applications and interactive websites on archiving activities and electronic paper transactions, a project named "Nafsiya" for biological and psychological measurements, "Swift Medical" for health crises and respiratory issues, dietary systems, an expatriate guide providing service information about Minia Governorate, real estate marketing, a clinic management application, a smart portal for expressway services, a residential application providing housing for expatriates and newcomers, artificial intelligence applications for behavioral therapy, voice conversions for sign language, and solutions for individuals with special needs.
Furthermore, interactive seminars and lectures were conducted on the sidelines of the forum by representatives from major companies specializing in technology and software, along with outstanding Faculty graduates. These sessions aimed to highlight future skills, job market requirements, available professional and training opportunities, and included dialogues between graduates, current students, and employers to exchange experiences and enhance career guidance opportunities.
