MU Hosts Political Participation Committee Members from the NCW

Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat, the President of the University of Minia, graciously welcomed Dr. Rasha Mahdy, a distinguished member of the Senate's Education and Scientific Research Committee and the President of the Political Participation Committee at the National Council for Women. Also in attendance were Major General Rafat Qamsane, former Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the National Elections Authority and advisor to the Prime Minister's Office, along with Counselor Dina El Gendy from the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Constitutional Court, and Dr. Najah El Talawy, the representative of the National Council for Women in Minia Governorate.

The visit was conducted in the presence of Dr. Ayman Hassanein, the University's Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Hossam Abd El Rahim, the University President's advisor for student activities.

This visit coincided with a thought-provoking awareness seminar organized by the University of Minia in collaboration with the Political Participation Committee at the National Council for Women under the theme "Protecting Our Country Together: Know Your Country, Preserve It," under the esteemed patronage of the University President and Counselor Amal Ammar, the President of the National Council for Women.

Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat expressed his pride in hosting these distinguished guests, highlighting the significance of the university's role in cultivating political awareness among the youth towards Egypt's Vision 2030 and the New Republic. He emphasized the university's pivotal role as a societal guardian, underscoring the importance of nurturing political consciousness among the youth for societal stability and security, considering it a crucial responsibility alongside its academic and scientific pursuits.

Dr. Ayman Hassanein expressed his joy at the university being selected to host the seminar by the National Council for Women. Attendees commended the exceptional awareness displayed by Minia University's students among Egyptian universities during the seminar discussions, praising the warm reception and efficient organization by the seminar hosts.

During the seminar, speakers from the National Council for Women deliberated on the vital role of awareness in dispelling misinformation and ensuring stability within the framework of Egypt's New Second Republic. They highlighted the rapid accomplishments achieved under visionary leadership, which have propelled numerous national projects to completion at an unprecedented pace. These achievements and monumental projects stand as testaments to the state's commitment to national development, aiming to transform Egypt's landscape for urban progress and the holistic advancement of its citizens, underpinned by sound scientific, cultural, and social foundations. They stressed that urban expansion must be paralleled by the elevation of thought, culture, and awareness among the Egyptian populace.
