Under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in light of the directives of Dr. Mostafa Rafaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, to work towards achieving Egypt's Vision 2030 by developing higher education, enhancing international rankings, and reaching the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals to ensure quality, equitable, and inclusive education and to promote learning opportunities, the Supreme Council of Universities announces the launch of the second edition of the Egyptian Survey of Student Engagement (ESSE) targeting final year students for the academic year 2024/2025 at Egyptian universities.

The first edition, launched on June 10, 2024, saw a participation rate of 16,658 students from Egyptian public universities. The survey provided benchmarking information to 27 Egyptian public universities and their faculties, in addition to 24 sector committees within the education sectors of the Supreme Council of Universities. This survey was introduced through the Electronic and Cognitive Services Center and is the first of its kind in the Arab Republic of Egypt, aiming to measure the quality of educational services at Egyptian universities.

The survey aims to provide tangible and reliable data to aid in strategic and developmental decision-making, enhance communication between students and educational institutions, promote a culture of participation and constructive interaction, and identify areas that can be improved in students' learning experiences. Furthermore, the survey contributes to achieving the national strategic goals of higher education, guiding national educational policies and programs to enhance the quality of education, attract a larger number of international students, and improve the international ranking of Egyptian universities.

Students are required to click on the survey link provided or use the QR CODE scanner to fill in the required information. All survey questions in the second edition are presented in both Arabic and English to facilitate and encourage the participation of international students alongside Egyptian students. The survey ensures the confidentiality of students' personal data and the freedom to express their opinions on all educational services, including the quality of courses, the learning environment, communication with faculty members, as well as the academic and professional support provided within Egyptian universities.
