Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat, the President of Minia University, received Dr. Ahmed Zeid, the Director of the Library of Alexandria, during his visit to the university to discuss a doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Arts in the presence of Dr. Ebrahim Abu Al-Kheir, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
During the meeting, the university president congratulated Dr. Zeid on his membership in the Board of Trustees of the Grand Egyptian Museum as a native of Minia Governorate. He provided a brief explanation about the university and the significant progress it has witnessed in various educational and research sectors.
Dr. Farhat emphasized that the Library of Alexandria is a cultural beacon, one of the most important cultural centers locally and globally. He praised its role in educating university students about scientific, cultural, social issues, and the challenges facing society, raising their national awareness, facilitating their access to intellectual and cognitive sciences, and organizing numerous cultural activities and events aimed at students and youth.
On his part, Dr. Ahmed Zeid, the Director of the Library of Alexandria, expressed his pleasure at the meeting and the warm reception, emphasizing the importance of the university's research, educational role, and community service, wishing the university and its leadership all success and progress.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Essam Farhat presented the university shield to the Director of the Library of Alexandria in appreciation of his scholarly contributions and cultural contributions in the humanities.
Dr. Ahmed Zeid, the Director of the Library of Alexandria, had earlier discussed the doctoral dissertation presented by the researcher Mohamed Ahmed Abd El Qader El-Arabi entitled "Cultural Obstacles to Enhancing the Quality of Life as One of the Objectives of Population Policy" in the Sociology Department at the Faculty of Arts, held at the Arts and Literature Center at the university.
