Puplish date: 2024-06-17

Minia University, under the leadership of President Prof.Dr. Essam Farhat, has announced the implementation of heightened emergency preparedness measures in all of its hospitals during the upcoming Eid Al-Adha holiday. This proactive step aims to ensure the seamless delivery of medical services across all departments and specialties, with a particular focus on handling emergency cases and attending to the diverse healthcare needs of patients.

Prof. Dr. Farhat emphasized the university's commitment to providing efficient and effective medical care during this festive period. Emergency departments have been bolstered with increased staffing, including number of on-duty doctors in reception and emergency units, as well as critical care departments. The scheduling of leave and breaks has been carefully managed to ensure the availability of an adequate number of healthcare professionals in these crucial areas.

Furthermore, Minia University has taken proactive measures to secure a sufficient supply of medications and emergency provisions. Collaborating with the Unified Procurement Authority, a dedicated team of pharmacists from the medical supply and hospital supply units has been assigned to procure all necessary items and ensure their availability.

The emergency plan encompasses the collective efforts of medical, nursing, administrative, and technical staff across all university hospitals. Overseeing the execution of the plan are more than 22 directors and deputy directors, in coordination with the Executive Director of University Hospitals and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who serves as the Chairman of the Board.

Prof. Dr. Essam Farhat expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication and professionalism exhibited by the university hospitals' management, medical staff, and nurses. Their tireless efforts in delivering exceptional healthcare services, relieving patients' burdens, and alleviating their pain are commendable.

On the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, Dr. Farhat extended his warmest congratulations and well wishes to all employees of the university hospitals. He acknowledged their commitment to their noble profession and their unwavering dedication to serving the community. May their compassionate endeavors continue to bring blessings and contribute to the well-being of all individuals in need of medical care.
